Amazonite is a mineral from the group of feldspars (microcline) of green color. Named for the Amazon River, but does not occur there. Amazonite of bluish hues can be found, and also contain white inclusions of albite. It is used in the jewelry industry as an inexpensive ornamental material. Amazonite crystals are rare.
