Richterite is a mineral of the group of alkaline amphiboles, forming fibrous crystals and asbestos-like accumulations. Occurs in alkaline igneous rocks, as well as in high-temperature metamorphosed limestones, and among hydrothermal products of basic igneous rocks, and in marbles.
