Laumontite is a fairly common mineral, hydrous calcium aluminosilicate. Belongs to the group of zeolites. At low humidity, lomontite is easily dehydrated. At the time of extraction, its samples can be translucent or even transparent, but in the air the mineral loses up to 1/8 of the water it contains and becomes cloudy. However, it can become loose and brittle.
By virtue of belonging to zeolites, it has the property of a molecular sieve. Characterized by small prismatic crystals with a rhomboid cross section and a beveled end.
You can see laumontite stone for sale and buy it in the Minerals of Russia online store.
